Everything you need to know about Specialized road bikes

Specialized Road Bike

Specialized is one of the most well-known and recognisable makers of quality bikes and bike accessories in the world. They make a huge range of different models from mountain bikes to triathlon and bxm bikes, however they are probably best known for their range of high-end road bikes.

They are a supplier of bikes and equipment to many US and European road teams and in 2010 will be bike supplier for both Team Astana and Team Saxo Bank in the UCI ProTour.

Their current line up of specialized road bikes covers three main areas: competitive road; endurance road; and fitness/commute. Here is an outline of the three lines and the models in each.

Competitive Road Bikes

Whether you’re competing in the Pro Tour or just a Friday night training criterium, these race-ready bikes put light weight, speed and efficiency above all else. Dedicated road riders looking for championship winning designs need look no further than the Tarmac, Allez and all-new women’s Amira.
